CRV / LS VTEC Conversion Part 2: PCV Valve Arrangement
-IntegraleEVO

Here is a pic of the stock B20 block. Notice the hole for the KS and where to drill and tap.

All the VTEC motors have the oil breather chamber on the back of the block and the PCV valve mounted on the intake manifold. However, on the newer non-vtec motors, Honda deleted that breather box and put the PCV valve on the valve cover.

If we are going to put the VTEC Head on the block, we will have to copy that system. What you can do is to drill a hole, tap it, and put a nipple as shown in the pic.

Then run an oil catch can, between the PCV valve and the intake manifold.

Here are diagrams for non-VTEC and VTEC B-series motors:

Description:
The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) System is designed to prevent blow-by gas from escaping to the atmosphere. The PCV valve contains a spring-loaded plunger.

When the engine starts, the plunger in the PCV valve is lifted in proportion to intake manifold vacuum and the blow-by gas is drawn directly into the intake manifold. So either you can drill and tap the block, or you can drill on the valve cover just like how the B20/B18 head is.

In order to make the whole system legit, the air intake hose which connects to the valvecover will have to modify as well.

Just remember to check and drain the catchcan, and ADD fresh motor oil if needed!
